Although Ivory Pearl will be serving food and drink of the highest quality and preparation, Ran Duan and I wanted to make the branding approachable. I was reminded of the boat to counter simplicity I experienced in my youth, which I thought would be valuable to revisit.

I remember the hand painted signage, sun bleached prints of game fish, aged wood, weathered buoys, retired lobster traps and calloused hands of the fisherman who inevitably fed me. I was inspired by fond memories, and consider this branding a union of homage and modernity.

We love hospitality, and we love to enhance the experiences of others through their senses. Whether it’s tasting an incredibly complex alchemical creation from any of Rans establishments, to browsing the well - considered design elements of the menus that inhabit those establishments, we want those who experience what we present to have a fully harmonious sensory experience.
